This one is particularly personal, and for those of you still struggling with this, especially back in Kentucky, I wanted to tell two stories (both true) to remind people that people who struggle with chemical addictions are still people - typically much stronger than the average person - and these drugs are far more sadistic and harder to overcome than former addicts are given credit for. It is a war you can win, and if you do, no one will recognize the hero that you are - so remember to take pride in yourself. Life is worth the pain of stopping, even if it takes awhile to feel like it. If you ever want to talk, whoever you are, reach out to me.
